Claim: How long will social be an important if not primary aspect of consumer technology? If it is to remain a significant part of our future technological lives, how will it evolve?

Explanation: I believe it is here to stay and it will be more pervasive than it is today. We are starting to see every day objects gain social capabilities and become your "friends" - the case of Toyota friend for example, where the car tells you when it needs servicing and you can easily look on your phone app where the nearest station is.
